Using Lighter
These terms cover Lighter: Photo Cleaner, provided by LAB&CO RAMZI SAI (Lab&Co). Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app license. These terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it or reduce mandatory consumer rights.
Use Lighter only for lawful purposes on devices and photo libraries you are allowed to manage. You must be legally able to accept the applicable terms, or have a parent or guardian’s permission where required. You control Photos access and can change it in Settings.
Review before deletion
Swiping left marks a photo for deletion; it does not delete it. Tap Finish, check the selected photos, and remove any you want to keep. Deletion requires confirmation in Lighter and a separate Apple Photos confirmation.
With iCloud Photos, deleting a photo also removes it from other synced devices. Photos normally remain in Recently Deleted for 30 days, but recovery is not guaranteed. Lighter cannot restore permanently deleted photos. Keep a separate backup of anything important.
What the app can and cannot do
Lighter helps you review photos. It is not a backup or recovery service. It depends on Apple PhotoKit, your permissions, device resources, and the state of your photo library. iCloud previews may need network access.
Storage reclaimed can vary, and space may not be freed immediately while photos remain in Recently Deleted. Saved progress can be lost when app data is removed. The cleanup file is excluded from device backups.
Price and purchases
Lighter has no subscriptions or in-app purchases. Any download price is shown in the App Store before you download. Any future paid features must show their price and terms before you choose to buy them.
Your photos and our app
You keep your rights to your photos. Lab&Co and its licensors keep rights to the app, code, design, and branding. Do not misuse the app or interfere with its security.
We may update the app or change supported features and platforms. We will provide notice or remedies where required by law.
Responsibility and your rights
We work to keep Lighter useful and reliable, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. The app is provided as available to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. You keep the protections and dispute options available under the law of your usual residence.
Stopping use and changes to these terms
You can stop using or delete Lighter at any time. This does not reverse earlier photo deletions. If we change these terms, we will update the effective date and give notice where required.
